With the return of the dragons, and the rise of Dragon Hunters as a result, the need for Dragon Riders has never been greater. Hiccup and the rest of the original Dragon Riders have started training the next generation to fulfill their mission: ensure the safety of the dragons. A whole new set of Dragon Riders will be in charge of the safety of the archipelago. They will explore further and discover even more new dragons while protecting their home.

Reporting to Staff
DR:ANA staff strives to maintain a friendly and open environment for all our members. In order to do this, we utilize reports to flag content that is either in violation of our rules or makes a member or group of members uncomfortable. See below to see how we handle reports. [break][break] Content we handle
Any content that contributes to a hostile environment, including hate speech and harassment.
Any content posted within our public Discord server that violates any of our rules, or contributes to a hostile environment.
Content we do not handle
Anything that takes place off of the website or outside of our public Discord server (other websites, emails, IMs, Discord DMs).

The Report System
There is a report button at the top of each post (click on the gear to open the drop-down menu) and at the top of each member's profile (next to the "Send Message" button).
A small window will open once you click "Report". There you can explain why you feel the post or member should be brought to the attention of staff.
Staff will review the report and take any necessary disciplinary actions.
Staff will not under any circumstances discuss how a member is addressed with outside parties.
The staff will never punish a member for the act of filing a report for inappropriate/violating content.

Friendly Reminders
For less severe infractions, members may be given friendly reminders to inform them that they are breaking a rule. These do not cause the warning meter to go up, however, they are taken into account if the member continues to break the rules. [break] This can include, but is not limited to:
Excessive swearing
Graphic sexual content within any threads and posts
Severe or graphic violence within any threads and posts
Repeatedly posting in roleplay threads below the minimum post count
Unfair roleplaying, such as godmodding and powerplaying

Warnings
Each member has a Warn Meter on their account. This always starts at zero (0) and will be bumped up as necessary as a response to rule infringement or other anti-community behavior. The meter can go up to a maximum of one hundred (100), at which point the member will be issued a ban. [break][break] Depending on the severity of the infraction, the warn meter will be bumped up anywhere from five (5) to fifty (50) points. The meter will be lowered after six months of good behavior with no additional infractions. In these cases, ten (10) points will be removed from the warn meter every six months from the last warning date. [break][break] When issuing warnings, multiple staff members - including moderators and administrators - must be involved in the process to ensure that warnings are fairly administered. [break][break] Because we cannot possibly predict and list every possible infraction, please see below for some examples of the Warn Meter point system.
Excessive swearing 5 - 30 points
Graphic sexual content within any threads and posts 10 - 40 points
Severe or graphic violence within any threads and posts 10 - 40 points
Repeatedly posting in roleplay threads below the minimum post count 5 - 30 points
Unfair roleplaying, such as godmodding and powerplaying 20 - 40 points
Deliberate trolling or derailing of threads 5 - 30 points
Blatant disrespect towards fellow members 10 - 40 points
Publicly arguing with staff about disciplinary actions handed down after the fact 10 - 30 points
Harassment of other members or staff 30 - 50 points

Issuing Forum Bans
In the unlikely event that a member has repeat infractions to the rules and refuses to correct their behavior, the staff may collectively elect to issue a permanent ban to that member. Bans will be addressed on a case-by-case basis as they are meant to be the most severe sanction used when all other options are exhausted. [break][break] With the exception of severely disruptive, inappropriate, or deceitful behavior, bans will be issued in the event their infraction causes a total number of warnings that exceeds the one hundred-point warn meter.
