With the return of the dragons, and the rise of Dragon Hunters as a result, the need for Dragon Riders has never been greater. Hiccup and the rest of the original Dragon Riders have started training the next generation to fulfill their mission: ensure the safety of the dragons. A whole new set of Dragon Riders will be in charge of the safety of the archipelago. They will explore further and discover even more new dragons while protecting their home.
Ryn is somewhat short for an average female Viking, only standing at about 5’ in height. She has a lean yet athletic build due to her many travels and previous training from the Defenders, her old tribe, with slightly tanned skin and long auburn hair. Said hair is wavy and kept in a messy braid or let loose. Attire wise, she wears a dark forest green sleeveless tunic shirt with black colored pants, woven from the same material as the outfits worn by her home village, so it is somewhat form fitting. She has a thick belt that wraps around her midsection, lined with white fur and held steadfast by black straps. Several brown leather straps also cover her body, two hanging at an angle on her hips, one across her chest hanging off her left shoulder, and one around her left leg, most of which hold satchels and two sheaths for her two daggers she carries. The one across her chest however serves to hold a small axe she also has on hand. One satchel also is tied to the belt around her midsection.
Additionally, Ryn wears black leather boots, studded dark brown wrist guards, and dear skin gloves of which are a dark tan that match her bandana tied around her neck. Topping this off is a black cape with fur lined top, held together by two golden pendants with the Defenders of the Wing tribal crest emblazoned on them. When not wear this, she still bears the standard black tunic and pants with built in shoulder guards and shin guards at other times, but only wears the black face mask rather than the hood.
Personality
Ryn is a bit of a quiet Viking. On the surface, she is somewhat shy and not much of a talker, but more of an observant wallflower. At least when initially meeting her. In some cases, she is a bit shy and stand offish, giving small sentences or merely gestures such as a nod of the head or her body tensing up. Body language seems more her means of communication at first, and she tends to play a neutral look yet always seems watchful and guarded initially, and at times can be soft spoken and shows a gentle, compassionate soul.
When she loosens up though, her real personality begins to shine through. She shows herself to be easy-going and laid back, but also much more talkative. In fact, Ryn reveals herself to be something of an occasional joker and sarcastic personality, though usually it is in a joking manner and only dry towards those who irk her. This different side also reveals her to be stubborn and quite adventurous, her soft spoken nature falling to something more normal and expressive, sometimes outright vocal and not being afraid to speak her mind or her opinion. A coy grin will also sometimes be present, showing a more playful, teasing side that surprises some when she is initially very guarded and quiet at other times. Seemingly a 180 to her usual self.
But, don’t let this fool you. Ryn can also be vengeful, never hesitating to show her temper or hold a grudge for those who wrong her and her loved ones. Though creative and passionate in body and spirit, Ryn can be equally wrathful and harsh in her words and extremely bull-headed and stubborn. Fiercely loyal as she can also be, Ryn tends to follow her own code, standing on something of a flexible moral code and her own beliefs.
History
Family Tree Danielle Stendahl (Mother) Unknown father Soeren Stendahl (Younger brother) Ryn hails from Caldera Cay, her parents both originating from the tribe of Defenders of the Wing all their lives.
Like them, Ryn spent much of her life being raised here. Their culture, traditions, songs, crafts, whatever made up life among the Defenders was all she had ever known and once embraced with great vigor and enthusiasm despite growing up a quiet, shy child in her young years. In fact, she was a bit of an oddball growing up, being viewed as too shy for her own good and sometimes bullied by her peers for not being strong of spirit to handle the true responsibilities of the tribe. It affected Ryn enough she often was a lone wolf, spending hours wandering the territory around the island or finding random things in nature of which she could use to sculpt, carve, or paint with.
During one of these trips at about 9, Ryn actually stumbled upon a group of young deadly nadders, one of many species that called Caldera Cay their home. Quietly, the young female watched from afar until one distinctly colored nadder suddenly approached her, a curious expression on its face. Though a little on edge, Ryn offered the youngling a piece of fish she carried with her, which the nadder gladly accepted. Despite this, Sky Point stuck around and observed the girl work with a piece of dead wood for a while before returning to its nest. And for a few years, Ryn repeated this process or began to speak with the dragon she befriended. unfortunately, one of her parents discovered this after growing concerned about her constant disappearances, scolding the girl for treating such a beautiful creature as a pet.
Crestfallen for being forbidden to return, Ryn forced herself to try and change her entire persona to better fit in among her tribe. A rough five years would follow, but she managed to come out of her shell. And so too did she begin to realize she was growing restless of following the ways of her tribe. She felt out of place, restricted, and missed having that freedom before her parents discovered this. So, just after she turned 17, Ryn packed her items, food, and supplies and snuck out one night, using techniques she had learned growing up to slip by the Defenders guards and into the nearby forest, returning to the spot she once often met the blue and white nadder. Letting out a low whistle, she awaited to see if the dragon would return as five years before, and much to her surprise and delight Sky Point happily greeted her, but now was bigger and nearly fully grown.
That day, Ryn rode the deadly nadder for the first time, finding it odd yet exhilarating at the same time as they left Caldera Cay for the unknown. With what little money she had saved up, Ryn arrived to the island of traders and merchants and bought her own personal ship, one she worked on restoring and renovating with Sky Point's help. Soon, she fashioned the ship to use for her new occupation as a crafter and trader, something of which she has done for six years now across the Archipelago, with the occasional trip outside it.

Deadly Nadder
Appearance
Sky Point is the same build and appearance of any Deadly Nadder, being a full grown adult with all the spines, talons, and crown-of-thorns on her head and the curved nose horn. Her primary scale color is a cobalt blue with a white underbelly, the blue becoming more faint along the wings and blending into the white to resemble a wispy cloud pattern. This same white is present on her talons, crown horns, and spines, as well as the tip of her upper jaw and around the eyes. Crimson red stripes cover her body from nose to tail as well as distinct crimson colored eyes. Her crown-of-thorns are tipped with cobalt blue while her nose horn has the same wispy blue-to-white cloud look as her wings.
Personality
Sky Point is a curious dragon, as well as quite adventurous. She loves to explore new places and is quite friendly, mirroring her companion a great deal in their attitudes. She loves finding something new, showing a great deal of excitement over something she has never seen before. But, she is also protective and deeply loyal, sometimes to the point overly so and can become serious in dire situations. She grows attached to those her and Ryn become close to, and is always willing to jump into action when the need arises. Though she is known to be stubborn in her own right as well.
